“If it wasn’t for coffee, I’d have no discernible personality at all.”
-David Letterman

As a second grade teacher in Fairbanks, Alaska, I am more than familiar with what it’s like to live life moving from one cup of coffee to the next, but over time I grew tired of poor quality coffees on the market. Coffees that weren’t fresh. I realized that if I wanted better coffee, I had better roast it myself! After months of working towards improving my morning cup of Joe, I decided to share my newfound skill and passion with my family and friends. My Breadth of knowledge was deepening with every roast.

After spending the better part of a lifetime in the hospitality industry (before becoming a teacher), I’d come to value hard work, integrity, customer service, and the power of a positive attitude. The desire to share these values, along with my love for travel and adventure, is why I chose to start Deep Breadth Coffee. What do they say? “Life is about the journey, not the destination?” So cliche, but it’s got to be someone’s plan. It might as well be ours.

Let’s travel the world, both near and far, in search of the perfect cup. Let this be our personal commitment to ourselves and those around us. Nothing but the best!

Breathe in!

Take a Deep Breadth!
